What to Expect for Your Wedding
When you book with Black Horse Videography, you can expect white glove service from the time you sign on. Have complete peace of mind knowing that we have you covered. Once you decide that we are the right choice for you and your family, we will send you an information sheet to fill out so we can learn as much as we can about you as a couple. We then draft a contract for you to review and sign. Once we have the contract, we send you an invoice for the retainer. When we have the signed contract and the retainer, you are officially booked!
As we get closer to your wedding date, we will send you an itinerary form to fill out and then we will schedule a personal phone call to go over all of your wedding day details to help you plan the perfect day. It is important that your videography team is on the same page and can help you make sure everything goes smoothly.
On your wedding day, we will be with you from the time you get ready, all the way through the reception. Our standard Gold Package provides two videographers for the day. One will be with the bride and the other with the groom as you prepare for the day’s events. We will provide gentle reminders to help you stay on schedule and make sure everything goes as planned. It is important for us to make sure that your day is stress free and you have peace of mind knowing that all of the day’s most important moments are captured so that you can simply enjoy the day worry free.
We will be at your ceremony with multiple cameras and professional audio devices. You won’t notice us during the ceremony, but we will be there. Know that your ceremony will be captured and you can just live in the moment as we film it for you. From the moment you walk down the aisle, to the second you say “I do” we will have it captured.
The reception event is fully covered as well. Think about all of the exciting moments from your reception…The entrances, the speeches, the cake cutting, formal dances and all of the fun dancing at the end of the night. These are the moments that we capture at the end of the night. Professional cameras, audio and lighting are used to make sure we get the best shots for you.
After the wedding day is when all the real work begins. We spend countless hours sorting and editing your footage for you. We take the hours and hours of footage that we gather on your wedding day and craft it into a cinematic story worth telling. How many hours of wedding day coverage do we need for video?
When thinking about how many hours of wedding videography coverage you will need for your wedding, think about the things you will want covered. This includes getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, speeches and reception celebrations.
The amount of hours of videography you will need for your wedding day depends on a couple of factors. Firstly, your itinerary is an important consideration. If you have scheduled all of your main events and details to occur around the same time, you won’t need as many hours of video coverage. If, however, your day begins early in the morning and all of your events are spread out, you will need more time. The average amount of time that most couples need is 8 hours. This is usually enough time for the day. Our Gold Package covers up to 10 hours, which is usually a good amount of time.
Secondly, your budget is something to consider. If your budget is tight, you may need fewer hours. By getting a smaller package, like our Half Package, you can get a decent amount of coverage on a smaller budget. Our Half package includes up to 5 hours of coverage. We can usually make this work as long as we plan ahead and make sure your itinerary is well crafted. Sometimes budget is the most important thing and the Gold Package is too much for couples. If this is the case, we can also go with the smaller Half Package and add a couple of hours on for a much smaller amount than upgrading to the Gold Package would cost. We can always find a way to make it work though. You just have to ask and we will work with you to create a package that works for you, your family, and your budget.
Will you capture the small candid moments during the day?
Yes. We are there during your wedding day to capture all of the small moments and big ones. We go into your wedding day with a plan and know when all of these moments will happen. We are fully prepared with the right equipment to capture these moments. Black Horse Videography has been filming weddings for almost two decades and is very skilled at knowing where to be and when to be there. You can feel confident knowing that we will be there when you need us so that you can focus on enjoying the day and living in the moment. Do you film with multiple cameras during the ceremony?
Yes. We absolutely use multiple cameras during your ceremony and other key moments of the day. Not only is it important to have back ups, but it is important to have a variety of angles to choose from. We pride ourselves at making cinematic stories of your wedding day footage. This means that we use, not only a variety of camera angles, but also professional audio equipment and lighting to get the best possible footage. During your wedding day, there will be multiple things happening simultaneously. This is another reason why we use multiple cameras. We want to make sure we capture all of the important moments as they happen.
Can wedding videography capture moments we might miss during the day?
Absolutely. Your wedding day happens fast and there is so much going on. Sometimes brides and grooms experience an overload of stimulation. All of your guests want to congratulate you, the vendors are asking you questions, you have to get photos done, sign papers, and the list goes on. Oftentimes, couples miss some of these special moments. A professionally edited wedding film allows you to see these moments that you may not have seen, or simply might not have registered as you were on the move. Is professional audio important for wedding videography?
Yes. Clear audio is one of the most important elements of a wedding film. One of the things that sets Black Horse Videography apart from other amateur companies is our expensive equipment. Not only is our audio top tier, but our cameras, lighting and other equipment is very high end. This is one of the reasons why our films are so high quality. We make sure that our audio equipment is where it needs to be to capture the best audio possible. We also use back up audio in case something happens with our signal. Mishaps happen. We want to make sure that they do not affect your wedding film. You could have the most beautiful video footage every created, but without good quality audio, it is not of the best quality overall.
